Workshops, services, and Career Advisors are available to almost all
unemployed Canadians. Additional programs are available for people who
have recent or current EI claims.
Eligibility for Other Programs
Training, Wage Subsidy, the Business Futures Program, and Job Creation
Partnerships have eligibility requirements. You may be EI eligible if you
are currently in receipt of Employment Insurance, or have filed for an EI
claim within the last three years, or have filed for an EI parental leave
within the last five years.
Your Job Shop Career Advisor can discuss
eligibility with you. In addition, all of these programs require that you work with
your Career Advisor to complete a Return to Work
Action Plan before applying.
